The Morose Project is doing some really interesting things in the music scene. I love their incorporation of music with live visuals and art. The guys are a group of artists that are forward thinking and innovative. Definitely check out their live shows and in the meantime have a listen. morose:
a live electronic band formed in early 2010 by Samuel Barba (guitar and vocals), Tarek Nasr (synthesizer and engineering) and Wesley Boothe (drums and percussion). Morose intends to give birth to a new sound and experience, by combining live instrumentation with an electronic minimalist structure. Their many influences include Trentemoller, The Smiths, Broadcast, and The Pet Shop Boys.
the project:
an electronic hybrid collective of dj’s and producers consisting of members of morose and independent electronic musicians. the project is an outlet for the development of an avant-garde brand of electronic club-oriented music, combining each member’s unique styles and production influence to live performance with the aim of revolutionizing electronica.
themoroseproject:the umbrella which incorporates the band, dj sets, live visuals, art, and the collaboration of respected artists of all kinds to reinstate innovation, talent, and progressive thought into the current electronica scene.
